How it works

Your metabolic rate is governed mainly by the brain and the thyroid gland. Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains the herb Coleus forskohlii, which is a digestive stimulant. Its active constituent forskolin may support normal thyroid function and metabolism.
Many weight-loss diets are often low in nutrients that support your metabolism, like folic acid, magnesium, iron, vitamin D, zinc and some B vitamins; many of these nutrients are also involved in energy production. So to help support your metabolism, Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains these nutrients, including your recommended daily intake of iron.

Low iron levels can decrease your capacity for exercise and may reduce metabolic rate by lowering thyroid function. Supplementing with iron while on a diet has been shown to help reverse this metabolic slow down and assist in weight loss.

Weight-loss diets are commonly low in calcium, which promotes cellular fat breakdown and helps prevent fat storage. When taken at the recommended daily dose, Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains over 25% of your daily requirement of calcium.

Controlling blood sugar levels is important for balancing appetite and cravings. Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains several nutrients, including chromium, which aid in balancing blood sugar levels in the body. Medicine interactions

If taking tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, bisphosphonates (osteoporosis drugs) or thyroid hormone, separate doses by at least two hours. Calcium, magnesium and zinc may decrease the absorption and efficacy of these medications.
